How to use Telegram on an Android cloud phone

Install the official Telegram Android app

Open your cloud phone and follow Telegram’s official Android download route. Confirm that the app and publisher match the official listing before installing. Telegram also distributes Android software directly, so follow the source Telegram presents rather than choosing an unrelated download site.

Launch the app and consider permissions one at a time. Notifications support timely messages. Contacts can help find people, while storage or media access supports attachments. Camera and microphone permissions matter only for features that use them, and granting them in remote Android does not mean that Telegram can reach the physical camera or microphone attached to your computer.

1. Open the cloud phone in a compatible browser.

Sign in without losing control of the account

Telegram accounts are connected to mobile numbers. Enter yours in international format and keep access to that number. Telegram says its account login codes appear in the verified Telegram service chat and should never be shared.

If two-step verification is enabled, provide the password yourself and keep the recovery email current. A support agent does not need the login code, password, or recovery code. After sign-in, review active sessions from Telegram’s security settings and close any session you do not recognize.

Check chats, channels, media, and calls

Open a normal cloud chat, send a message, receive a reply, and confirm that it appears on another device where you use Telegram. Then join a channel or group you already trust and check the unread state after reconnecting through the browser. Telegram supports photos, videos, and files, but you still need an available, documented way to place a file inside remote Android before attaching it.

Treat Secret Chats separately because Telegram describes them as device-specific rather than part of its cloud sync. Also test voice or video independently if it matters. Remote Android’s camera and microphone are not automatically your local computer hardware. For notifications, check Telegram’s Notifications and Sounds preferences, Android’s Telegram notification permission, and whether the particular chat is muted.

Troubleshoot codes, sync, media, and notifications

If a login code does not arrive, confirm the number format and inspect an existing Telegram session before waiting for SMS. Keep the number current; Telegram warns that losing control of it can put account access at risk. If one conversation does not alert, check whether that contact, group, or channel is muted before changing global settings.

When media fails, identify whether the file is unavailable inside remote Android, the permission is denied, or Telegram rejects the format or transfer. For calls, record whether joining, incoming audio, outgoing audio, or video is the failing step. Share only the app version, Android context, time, and error with support. Start with one cloud phone and add devices only when separate routines justify them.
